House Manager & PA's
Home / House Manager & PA's
Have questions?
A House Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of a household. Their role is more comprehensive in terms of managing household staff, maintaining the home, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Responsibilities: A House Manager may be in charge of supervising housekeepers, chefs, gardeners, and other staff, managing the household budget, overseeing maintenance or repairs, ensuring the home is well-maintained, and sometimes even coordinating family schedules. They may also manage grocery shopping, meal planning, and oversee any contractors or service providers. This role focuses on managing the physical and operational aspects of the household, including staff and maintenance, rather than providing direct personal support to the individual. A Personal Assistant provides administrative and personal support to an individual or family. The primary focus is on assisting with day-to-day personal tasks and managing schedules. Responsibilities: This can include managing appointments, running errands, booking travel, handling correspondence, organizing events, and providing support with personal tasks like shopping or meal planning. A PA may also help with household tasks but typically does not oversee the overall running of the home. The role is more focused on the individual’s personal and professional life, providing convenience and assistance to ensure the client’s daily needs are met. Key Differences between a HM and a PA: A Personal Assistant is focused on personal, administrative, and organizational support for the individual or family while a House Manager is responsible for the overall management and upkeep of the household, including staff supervision and maintenance.
How it works:
We begin with a consultation to assess your family’s specific needs and preferences. After the consultation, we charge the retainer fee to get started. From there, we create a tailored job description and start the search for your ideal candidate. Our team carefully screens and interviews top candidates before presenting 1-3 matches for your review. Once you receive the candidate profiles, you will reach out to them directly to schedule interviews. After selecting your perfect fit, we assist with finalizing the offer, conducting background checks, and creating a written agreement. Our support doesn’t end there – we provide ongoing assistance even after the placement to ensure a successful and lasting relationship.
